At the Boland School for Autism, we strive to ensure that every child we welcome can benefit from the unique environment and specialized support we offer.
Admission Requirements:
To be eligible for admission, a child must have a formal diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder.
The Admission Process:
Initial Contact: Parents or caregivers should contact the school to make an appointment.
Appointment with the Multi-Disciplinary Team: During the appointment, parents or caregivers will:
Meet with members of the school’s multi-disciplinary team.
Learn more about the school’s approach and environment.
Ask any questions they may have.
Tour the school facilities.
Provide a complete case history regarding the child.
Observational Period: If the parents or caregivers wish to proceed, they can arrange for an observational period. This usually lasts two weeks, during which the team observes the child in the school environment to assess compatibility and benefit.
Feedback and Decision After the observational period, the team will provide detailed feedback to the parents or caregivers. A decision will then be made about whether the child is likely to thrive and benefit from the school environment.
Important Note:
The observational period is by appointment only. Contact the school to make the necessary arrangements. We are here to guide you every step of the way and ensure a thorough, thoughtful process for every family.
